How we teach —
and how you can check

Choosing someone to teach your child the Quran is not a small decision. You are handing a stranger an hour a week with your son or daughter, and the Book itself. This page sets out exactly who teaches, how those lessons are supervised, and how you will know whether it is working.

Every teacher is a Qari, Hafiz, Alim or Alima — and only 1 in 10 applicants get through

We have over 100 teachers, and every one holds at least one of these qualifications. Many hold more than one.

Hafiz or Hafiza

Has memorised the entire Quran — all 30 juz, by heart. It means your child's teacher has been through the exact process they are guiding your child through. Our Hifz programme is taught only by Hafiz and Hafiza teachers.

Qari

Trained in recitation with Tajweed applied properly. A Qari hears an error the moment it happens and fixes it there and then — which is the only way Tajweed has ever been taught.

Alim or Alima

Six to eight years of formal Islamic scholarship covering Quran, Arabic, Tajweed, Fiqh and Aqeedah. A great many of our female teachers hold it — so if you request a female teacher, an Alima is very often who you get.

1 in 10 get through

Credentials get a teacher through the door. What follows is our own testing on Tajweed and on whether they can hold an eight-year-old's attention after a full school day. Different skills, both assessed. Many teach in Urdu as well as English.

We built a teaching centre. Almost nobody else in this market has one.

Most online academies are a booking system with freelancers attached. We built our own centre instead — teachers work from it together, supervised, and every lesson leaves a record our team reviews.

The difference

A real teaching centre, not a network of front rooms

Most online Quran academies are a booking system with freelancers attached — tutors working alone from their own front rooms, in whatever country they happen to be in, accountable to nobody. That model is cheaper to run, which is why almost everyone uses it.

We built a teaching centre in Pakistan instead. Our teachers come to work, sit together, and teach with a member of our team present in the room. It costs us considerably more, and it is the reason we can tell you exactly where your child's teacher is and who is watching.

Every session is logged

Our platform logs when teacher and student join and leave, how long the lesson ran, and whether attention held. Our team reviews it — so a teacher who arrives late or drifts is caught quickly, not months later when a parent complains.

But nothing is recorded

We monitor that a lesson happened properly — not what was said inside it. No video, no audio, nothing stored. Accountability without putting a recording of your child on a server somewhere.

And you can sit in

Any lesson, any time, without arranging it first. No permission, no notice, no reason needed. Parents who sit in tend to stop after a few weeks — not because we discourage it, but because they have seen what they needed to see.

What a lesson actually looks like, from the moment your teacher calls

Thirty minutes, one-to-one, live. Never a group, never pre-recorded, and never a video your child watches alone.

Nothing to install

All you need is a phone, tablet or computer and an internet connection. Your teacher calls at the agreed time — there is nothing to install. Teacher and student share a screen with a digital Quran, so both are always on the same page and the same line.

Revision, new material, practice

Each session opens with a brief revision of last time, then new material, then something to practise before the next lesson. Thirty minutes is deliberate — long enough for real progress, short enough to hold a child's attention after a school day.

Your timings, and we move them

You choose the slot — weekday evenings, weekend mornings, or during the school holidays. If your circumstances change we move it rather than expecting you to drop out, because a rigid timetable is the most common reason children quietly stop attending.

Transparent pricing

Quran Lessons from £4/Hour — No Contracts

4 flexible Quran plans from £25–£40/month. Islamic Studies from £9.99/month. Bundle both and save £5/month. All plans include 3 free trial lessons.

How you'll know it's working — written reports, not reassurance

Learning the Quran is slow, and it is genuinely hard to tell from the outside whether a child is progressing or simply showing up. So we write to you about it, with specifics.

Then quarterly

First report after one month

That timing is deliberate. One month is roughly when you will be wondering whether this is working — so that is when we tell you, in writing, with specifics.

What's in every report

Classes attended against classes scheduled
Punctuality and engagement
Understanding and homework
Exactly how much Quran has been covered
Hifz progress by surah
Where they are doing well, and where they need work

Written by their own teacher

Every report ends with a note from the teacher who actually teaches your child — not a template, and not written by someone in an office who has never met them.

FAQ

Questions parents ask before they book

Every one of our 100+ teachers is a Qari, Hafiz, Alim or Alima, and many hold more than one. Beyond the credential, only about 1 in 10 applicants pass our own testing and training on Tajweed and on teaching ability before they take a first lesson.
